Museum of the Gazi Husrev-Bey''''s Library is dedicated to preservation of centuries-long tradition of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It holds permanent display of 1200 rare artefacts which belong to cultural heritage of this people, and other artefacts deeply immersed in the Islamic tradition of Bosniak people. Museum’s foyer holds lapidary collection (stone collection), and numerous home, mosque, tekke or crafts items. The collection is divided into several thematic segments according to type, purpose and manner of utilization: 1. Islamic Calligraphy with works of the most eminent national calligraphers, 2. Time Measuring – collection dedicated to "muvekkit” and lunar time measurement procedures which were very significant in everyday life or regular prayer times, 3. Ulema contains works of educated people (ulema); 4. Collection dedicated to mosque and tekke; 5. Collection of artefacts hajjis brought from Mekka and Medina; 6.Collection dedicated to everyday life.
