Moric Inn was built in the late 16th century by Ghazi Husrev-Bey’s waqf. The Inn’s cobbled yard lead towards the stables and storage spaces and the guest rooms were located at the upper floors.

Cemetery at Kovaci (Shahid/Martyr Cemetery) is located between Jekovac and Sirokac streets. It is a burial complex with tombs dating back to the 15th century.During the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy it was turned into a park. It had approximately 400 tombs.

Alifakovac Cemetery is one of the oldest and most historic Sarajevo cemeteries. It has around 300 tombs, with two 18th c. tombs Jahjaefendic Qadi (judge) built for his son and his friend Jusuf-Pasha.

Construction in Sarajevo, as in some other cities, can be quite interesting and inspiring. However, the Spite House is really unique. At the end of the 19th century, the Austro-Hungarians decided to build the City Hall and a tram station at Mustaj-Pasha’s Mejdan.

Ghazi Husrev-Bey’s Endowment
Ghazi Husrev-Bey is a well-known governor and benefactor of Sarajevo, son of Ferhad-Bey (Bosnian) and Selçuka (Turkish princess, daughter of Sultan Bayezid II).He gave his entire fortune to Sarajevo and endowed numerous buildings through his waqf.

Kolobara-han was the first inn built in Sarajevo. It is a 15th c. structure built by the endowment of Isa-Bey Ishakovic, the founder of Sarajevo.The inn had 40 rooms and could take up to four hundred people and 35 horses.
