Ferhadija Mosque
Ferhadija Mosque is located in the western part of the Sarajevo Square in Ferhadija Street.The street and the mosque were named after Ferhad Bey Vukovic Desisalic, a Bosnian Sanyak Bey from the medieval aristocratic family

...who had the mosque built in 1562. Next to the mosque is a small cemetery where members of the Janissary Order and of the old Sarajevan aristocratic families were buried.
